We had a wonderful excursion up the mount Gornergrat toward Matterhorn. The weather that day was perfect. The scenery breathing. The cogwheel trains were smooth and efficient. Best recommendation is to get there early during tourist season because it gets crowded.... But the Swiss seem to handle crowds well. Great experience highly recommend it

Just a brief moment of panic because we couldn't get in with our digital tickets. We had to first go to the kiosk at the station, which then printed out our paper tickets so we could enter. This train, which departs from the center of the village of Zermatt and takes you 1,500 meters higher as it climbs incredible inclines through magnificent scenery, is a marvel. The greatest reward awaits at the top, in a cirque of glaciers and peaks over 4,000 meters high, including the famous Matterhorn—the most impressive mountain in the Alps. It’s truly spectacular!
