What to expect

Plaza Mayor

Plaza Mayor is your central stage, surrounded by historic façades that witnessed some of Spain's darkest historical periods. You move around and near the square as the city game reveals how the Inquisition shaped daily life here.

Features

• Follow a route around Plaza Mayor using the self-guided city exploration game via app, solving tasks and prompts that draw attention to historic details hiding in plain sight. Each challenge encourages you to look closely at architectural elements and corners you might otherwise pass by.
• Engage with content on Spain's darkest historical periods as you play, using the Inquisition-focused stories to connect specific spots in and around the square with events that took place here.
• Take advantage of full flexibility to start at any hour, pause whenever you like, and resume later, since there is no time limit on the city game experience.

La Latina

From Plaza Mayor, your path leads into La Latina, a neighborhood known today as Madrid's hub for tapas and a maze of historic streets. The route threads through these lanes while your phone narrates how past and present overlap.

Features

• Walk the streets of La Latina along a predefined route around Plaza Mayor and La Latina, guided solely by the in-app map and instructions without needing a physical tour guide.
• Learn about the darkest periods of Spain's history at locations chosen for their connection to that era, with historical content on Spain's darkest periods integrated into each step of the game.
• Enjoy full flexibility with a format that is always bookable and available 24/7 daily; you can complete the roughly 2-hour city game at your own pace, with kids joining for free as part of the same experience.
