We arrived about 15 minutes before our booking time as requested, and just a few minutes later we were in the center of the Sansevero Chapel admiring "The Veiled Christ" by Sammartino. This astonishing artist managed to convey every emotion emanating from Christ right through the veil, recreating with absolute skill every mark of the crucifixion, as well as the veins and tendons. It was so impressive that it felt as though a breath could escape at any moment. In addition, on the right side of the chapel, you can admire a sculpture by another spectacular artist, Queirolo. The sculpture is called "Release from Deception," and it is utterly incredible how he carved an intricate, woven net out of a single block of marble. I highly recommend going to admire these almost unrepeatable and incomparable masterpieces.

Punctuality, courtesy, and competence from the entrance staff. Precise information. "Masterpieces"—there is simply no other way to describe the works seen in the Sansevero Chapel. The Veiled Christ is incredible. But Modesty and Release from Deception are also wonders that make Naples unique in the world. So many meticulous details, like "embroidery" carved into marble; I also spent a long time admiring the ceiling vault, with its vivid colors and one single, immense masterpiece. Speechless, an experience unimaginable beforehand.

The veiled Christ scupture is a masterpiece. You can actually feel and see Christ as he may have been after his crucifixion. It was truly awe inspiring and my travel companion and I feel very fortunate at being able to get an entrance ticket the day before we went, to witness this beatiful capture of a sad day.

It was an unforgettable bitch!!!! The Veiled Christ truly moved me. It is a living work of art, the staff was very professional, and I recommend a visit to everyone. Unfortunately, I have no photos to show because photography isn't allowed at all, but it is certainly etched in my memory.

A fantastic experience! Simple booking, no line at the entrance, and the Sansevero Chapel is spectacular. Unfortunately, I can't add photos of the inside or the entrance because they state not to take photos and that there will be a QR code at the end to view photos and images on the website, though it's not the exact same thing. I highly recommend booking with the audio guide, which guided us on our discovery of this gem! The tour with the audio guide stops lasts about half an hour. Enjoy your visit, everyone!

I visited the Sansevero Chapel on September 11th... it was amazing... I saw some incredible works of art and, besides the Veiled Christ which really impressed me, I was mesmerized by the sculpture behind it of the man tangled in a net... carved from a single block of marble... absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! Unfortunately, I don't have any photos to share because taking pictures is forbidden inside the chapel... I highly recommend it because it is worth every penny of the ticket price...

I booked a guided tour of Pompeii in French. The tour lasted two hours. It was truly perfect, and I didn't regret it at all. The guide was top-notch, spoke French well, and all the explanations were interesting and helpful in such a huge place. However, when booking, I didn't realize that I wouldn't have access to the Villa of the Mysteries. It wasn't specified, and I was a bit disappointed, which is why I gave it four stars.

The Sansevero Chapel was transformed in the 18th century by Prince Raimondo di Sangro into a family memorial filled with elaborate sculptures, coded imagery, and experimental ideas.

Veiled Christ: Stand before Giuseppe Sanmartino’s marble sculpture and examine how the carved veil appears to cling to Christ’s body while remaining part of the same block of stone.

Disillusion: See Francesco Queirolo’s sculpture of a man freeing himself from a finely carved net, an allegory associated with knowledge and liberation.

Modesty: Admire Antonio Corradini’s veiled figure, created as a memorial to Raimondo di Sangro’s mother.

Anatomical Machines: View the male and female skeletons accompanied by detailed representations of veins, arteries, and internal circulation.

What’s not allowed

Consumption of food and drinks is not permitted.

Photography is strictly prohibited inside the chapel.

Accessibility

The chapel is not completely wheelchair accessible. A narrow spiral staircase leading to a room comprising the anatomical models is not ideal for the disabled.

Additional notes

Pets, with the exception of service animals, are not allowed inside the chapel.

There is no formal dress code but we recommend wearing modest clothes since the attraction is a place of worship.

Infants from 0-9 years of age get free access to the chapel while those between 10-26 years of age enjoy reduced ticket rates.
