CoupleVerified bookingLast week5/5We arrived about 15 minutes before our booking time as requested, and just a few minutes later we were in the center of the Sansevero Chapel admiring "The Veiled Christ" by Sammartino. This astonishing artist managed to convey every emotion emanating from Christ right through the veil, recreating with absolute skill every mark of the crucifixion, as well as the veins and tendons. It was so impressive that it felt as though a breath could escape at any moment. In addition, on the right side of the chapel, you can admire a sculpture by another spectacular artist, Queirolo. The sculpture is called "Release from Deception," and it is utterly incredible how he carved an intricate, woven net out of a single block of marble. I highly recommend going to admire these almost unrepeatable and incomparable masterpieces.VVittoria V
CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5A fantastic experience! Simple booking, no line at the entrance, and the Sansevero Chapel is spectacular. Unfortunately, I can't add photos of the inside or the entrance because they state not to take photos and that there will be a QR code at the end to view photos and images on the website, though it's not the exact same thing. I highly recommend booking with the audio guide, which guided us on our discovery of this gem! The tour with the audio guide stops lasts about half an hour. Enjoy your visit, everyone!EEsther A
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5The Sansevero Chapel in Naples is an absolute highlight with its mystical atmosphere and dense concentration of spectacular Baroque art. The undisputed masterpiece is the "Veiled Christ" (Cristo Velato) by Giuseppe Sanmartino. The way the marble was carved borders on magic and leaves a profound impression. We booked an audio guide along with it, which turned a simple visit into a gripping overall experience. A fascinating, moving place that you definitely shouldn't miss in Naples!EEmiliana A
FamilyVerified bookingLast week5/5Friendly staff who make the experience even more enjoyable. The place is spectacular and mysterious. An immersive journey that questions our soul about the meaning of life and the significance of our experiences. A path that echoes the journey of life and guides you toward the right path to take—the one above toward God and the one below toward the anatomical machines, which are "stripped" of all the veils found on the floor above. Highly recommended experience.CCadario C
GroupVerified bookingLast week4/5It's a masterpiece that everyone should be able to see, given so much beauty and mastery. The only downside: the staff inside the chapel were far too strict. While the guide was explaining things, they kept interrupting to say that our time in front of the artwork was up, etc., etc. You pay for a ticket, you pay for a guide (ours was truly very knowledgeable), and then you end up with someone watching the clock and stressing you out for the entire 30 minutes because you have to "hurry up."
Step inside a small Baroque chapel where marble appears weightless, scientific curiosity meets religious symbolism, and every detail rewards a closer look.
