Hello, the colleseo tour was amazing, our guide was informative and spoke at a perfect rate of speed giving us time to absorb the information, and even did a pop test at the end, she made it fun and memorable. I believe her name was Alice. On the otherhand our tour for the Vatican was difficult to understand, spoke quickly and not clearly at all. Keep in mind that I speak Italian fluently, and English....but he was hard to follow and lost our interest. He also seemed to be very heavily focused on the smaller less significant details when he explained things and missed the most significant pieces on such a short tour. Did not even go to the alter area but spent more time on the tombs...didn't speak to the cupola which for me was a huge missed opportunity.

We purchased the Colosseum and Vatican Museums combo on this website. At first, after purchasing, we were a little scared because of the somewhat negative reviews, which said that there were no tickets or that there were various last-minute changes. Instead, everything was perfect, punctual, and well organized. At the Colosseum, Vincenzo was fantastic. He explained everything to us with great enthusiasm and pleasure, then accompanied us to the restaurant. At the Vatican Museums, Susanna was excellent and very knowledgeable. You could tell how much she loves her job, and she explained everything to us with great simplicity! So what can I say? I recommend it to everyone! Thank you, thank you!

A fantastic experience from start to finish. The tour of the various landmarks was very comprehensive and interesting, but without a doubt, the best part was our guide, Valentina. She made the entire tour very enjoyable and entertaining, keeping us engaged the whole time. It’s clear she has a deep knowledge of the subject and conveys it in a clear and passionate way, answering all our questions with great warmth. The whole organization ran very smoothly. It started right at the meeting point. Then Penelope led us to the museum and guided us through all the security checkpoints. She handled it extremely professionally, despite the huge crowds. NO unnecessary waiting times! Skip-the-line at its best! Our guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out some great details. He also guided us through the crowds very well—sometimes a few steps forward, then back again. We were able to see everything up close. It was an absolute masterpiece.

I think, even though everything is grand and wonderful, that St. Peter's Basilica wins my favor. It is a place extremely rich in paintings and sculptures, steeped in history and spirituality. I loved the entire visit. Our guide was really great and knew the place and its history perfectly. However, it is EXTREMELY crowded, which sometimes makes the visit difficult and uncomfortable, but the place and its beauty make up for it. It is impossible to see everything, even if you take your time, because there is so much to see.

Our guide Yvonne was so knowledgeable, friendly and added a bit of humor too! The pace was good though you want to wear comfortable shoes as you are on hard surfaces all day. It can be a bit overwhelming with all you see in the museum and St. Peter's basilica. There are rest rooms but no good or drink so eat a good breakfast or lunch before you go. We were pretty exhausted after 3 hours so didn't spend much time in St Peter's and didn't make it down to the tombs which I would have like to see. All in all a great tour with a ton of information.

Alex invited us to imagine and create our own picture of what life was like during the Roman Empire, and at the Colosseum in particular. Despite the crowds, the guided tour makes it much easier to visit the Vatican Museums. The tour is very packed, with the Sistine Chapel as the highlight—and even more so, St. Peter’s Basilica. One small regret: we weren’t able to see Raphael’s Rooms.

What's not allowed

Colosseum

For safety and security reasons, no large backpacks or pieces of luggage are allowed inside the Colosseum. No storage facility is available. You can, however, take a baby stroller into the Colosseum with you, should it be necessary.

Vatican Museums

Strict dress code: knees, shoulders, and back must be covered for all guests.

Big bags and suitcases aren't allowed inside the attraction, but guests can make use of the lockers on site.

Since complete silence is to be observed within the walls of the Sistine Chapel according to the rules of the Vatican, the guides will provide you with information about the site outside the Chapel. Visitors are to maintain silence within the Chapel as well.

Photography and the use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the Sistine Chapel.

Pets and other small animals are not allowed in the venue, with the exception of guide dogs.

While the guided tour is not accessible by wheelchair, the Vatican Museums offer free wheelchair hire and free entry for visitors with mobility impairments (certified invalidity exceeding 74%) and a companion if required.
