Our guide was super friendly, efficient, and fun... she has a remarkable knowledge of the history of Florence and Florentine painting... she explained each selected painting with passion and in an entertaining way, with anecdotes and lots of details that we didn't know... it's the first time I've understood every painting presented! Before, I used to look at them without understanding all the symbolism. What's more, she speaks very good French! Many thanks! Well done to her.

Our guide Anna was engaging and enlightening. She had a plan that introduced us to the history, politics, and art of Florence from the 1200s through the Renaissance. We learned about the evolution from 2 dimensional figures to 3 dimensional people to vanishing points. I learned a lot about the cultural context for the artworks. Anna moved us around the galleries and encouraged us to appreciate details I never would have noticed on my own. This was well worth it as an introduction to the Uffizi Galleries.

Very informative tour. Pam was extremely sweet and understanding and explained not just the art gallery but also the history of Florence and backgrounds of powerful personalities who have lived in it. She also did deep dives on some of the prominent pieces in the gallery explaining each and every detail in them and entertaining any questions we had about them , no matter how naive. We had an amazing time and came out feeling much more appreciative of the collection than if we had visited without a guide

Today we visited the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, WONDERFUL!!! Chiara was our guide, she was excellent and thanks to her we learned about the history and interesting facts and she taught us so much about the wonderful works of art housed in this splendid museum rich in art and history. The small group tour was very thorough and enjoyable. Our guide, Manuela Corsi, gave a fascinating explanation of the works for a full two hours. The time flew by and we would have loved to stay and listen to her for longer. I highly recommend it. The organization was also good; someone called me the night before to make sure everything was clear about the meeting place. I highly recommend it.

What's not allowed

Re-entry is not allowed once you leave the gallery.

Shutterbugs take note, flash photography and drones are prohibited in the gallery.

You cannot bring outside food or drinks into the gallery.

Leave your furry friends behind, the venue does not allow pets except for service animals with advance notice.

Additional information

Every first Sunday of the month, the museum follows normal opening hours and entry is free for everyone.

All visitors must leave umbrellas, large bags, and backpacks in the cloakroom located near the museum entrance. The use of the cloakroom is free.

Please note that all visitors to the museum must go through the security check. At the busiest times, the line for the check takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
