Unfortunately, I don’t have much good to say. Even though we had booked a time slot, we didn’t get inside until after waiting in line for about 60 minutes. There was no audio guide—just a QR code, which didn’t work. Once inside, we still had to wait in line to enter certain rooms, so we weren’t able to view the artworks we’d chosen—Albrecht Dürer, for example. Thirty minutes before closing time, popular rooms were simply closed off. It is incredibly sad and disappointing that art is being used to make such a profit. There are far too many people in the gallery at once. It’s terrible. The ticket pickup worked.

Enjoyed my tour of Gallerie dell'Accademia. I booked through Headout and the booking was managed by Italy Pass locally. I collected my ticket from their office (one block away from Accademia) and went to the Red Point exactly at the time stated on the ticket. Did not have to wait for more than a minute or so—they let the line in pretty much on the dot. The audio guide was a good bonus. Thanks, Shaahi for your support!

Everything was great. The person we had to exchange our tickets with was very nice; he saw that we were a little lost at the meeting point and came over to ask us if we needed help. He was very friendly and patient, and he walked us to the entrance line, so we didn't have to wait long to get in. This is one of the best museums in Florence—not just because of the David, but because it has paintings and sculptures that are also worth seeing. The audio guide was excellent, with very interesting facts.

When visiting Florence your stay wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Accademia to visit Michelangelo's statue of David.. what a marvel it is and it couldn't of been made any easier with the booking through headout. I arrived 15 minutes before the tour and we skipped all the queues with prompt access.. Headout provide a great efficient service.. Definitely worth a booking... Solo traveller from Ireland

Visiting the Galleria dell’Accademia was one of the highlights of my time in Florence. Of course, seeing David by Michelangelo in person is absolutely breathtaking—no photo can truly capture its scale and detail. But what surprised me most was everything beyond David. As I explored the gallery, I discovered so many incredible masterpieces that often don’t get the same attention.

Entry to the galleria was easy, fast, and bypassed quite a long line. I highly recommend prebooking entry to attractions in Italy, as the most famous sites can be completely overrun with people. Services like Headout make planning a trip easy, and make visits to attractions much MUCH faster, leaving more time to freely explore or see other sites.

I visited the gallery solely to see Michelangelo’s David. Although I’d seen the replica on the street, seeing the original there was incomparable—the face, the body, the details. I loved it. You have to see it; you can’t leave Florence without visiting it.
