I wasn't sure if this was going to be a worthwhile trip but my family and I found the tower of London to be a fascinating place. There's obviously the crown jewels to see but there is so much more besides. Each different building is unique and worth going in for a look. The audio guide is worth getting, if only so you know what you're looking at

Getting in was super fast—no line—and I was able to go in 10 minutes early.
The audio guide was fantastic, the instructions were clear, and I learned a lot. The highlight was, of course, the Crown Jewels—I’ve never seen anything like them before. All in all, I spent 2 hours and 50 minutes there, and I thought it was great!

The Tower of London is not a single tower! Its a medieval fortress with guards (Beefeaters) living inside, vault for the Crown Jewels (no pics allowed of the Cullinan diamonds), and a minimum of 6 ravens lest the kingdom fall…prison, palace,and museum

The audio guide was great.
There was hardly any wait time in the Tower, and there were water dispensers to refill your bottle.
The Beefeaters and the entire staff were very friendly.
