We, a couple in our 70s, spent an intensive week in Rome. Of course, the Colosseum was a must-see. We conveniently booked the guided tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum—including an exclusive guided tour of the arena—right from home. We were completely satisfied with the booking process, the itinerary, the information provided, and the route. Despite the large crowds (on a Monday), our guide always found a spot to share interesting facts with us. Special highlights, of course, were the Colosseum’s arena and the Roman Forum. The detailed explanations were delivered in very fluent German and occasionally included humorous observations. The 3-hour tour flew by....Many thanks to headout...we’d love to do it again. This was an absolutely fabulous tour and definately value for money. The comunication pre tour day from the operator was excellent and the meeting point easy to find. On the day the tour was very well orginised. We toured The Roman Forum, Palantine Hill then the Colossum and although as expected it was busy it wasn't overly so and didnt in anyway spoil the experience. The best review i can give though was about our tour guide. He was exceptional in his knowledge and enthusiasim and really did make the tour special.The information he imparted throughout the tour was incredible and all done in a friendly personal way. It really was a 5 star experience and can definately recommend using this operator.

The communication about the meeting point, time, and how we would recognize the guides was well done. The guides took care of us and everyone else arriving at the meeting point. Some participants had only booked audio guides, but we had booked a "real" guide. And I can only recommend that. Our guide was very knowledgeable, told us lots of interesting facts, and showed us all the relevant areas in the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Palatine Hill. We had plenty of time for everything, and the group wasn't too big. We were able to ask questions and chat with the guide. It was really wonderful all around. Our guide's name was Andriy, and he guided us in English.

We were given a great tour of the Colesseum and the Roman Forum with views of the Palentine Hill. I'd certainly recommend our guide, David, who was very knowledgeable, entertaining and engaging, giving a vivid persective on Roman life, the sheer scale of the buildings and feat of ingenuity that was required for their construction, bringing the very impressive structures that have survived to life, turning a piece of rock into a seat, an oval arena into an elaborate stage full of wild beasts and gladiators in combat. It was an excellent tour. I'd recommend late March as a good time to visit too, with long days and pretty low visitor numbers, giving plenty of space to walk around.

Really good and very informative guide. Went in April and was busy, especially Palatine hill. Be wary of the Italian toilets as few a far between with queues. Really well organised from the meeting to getting a txt the night before with PDF and where to meet. We probably did 3 hours in the end and fantastic views with our booking both inside the colosseum and the hill. Had the arena floor wit this which I feel is a must.

Excellent guide, Giuseppe was very knowledgeable and it's nice to visit with someone who loves their job and what they've studied because they convey that to the participants. Friendly, with an engaging way of speaking, he never bored us. The tour is very interesting for understanding what the Roman Forum was like centuries ago and the history of the Colosseum, appreciating things from a perspective that goes beyond just tourism.
