Everything went great. We showed our Headout vauchers to a staff member at the beggining of a very long line to a Dodge's palace and she let us skip the line and go directly to the ticket office, where our vaucher was exchanged for museum tickets. In addition to the tickets for the Dodge's palace, we were also handed the ticket for the Correr museum at the other side of the sauare.

What a hassle. I had to go to the ticket office to pick up the paper tickets I’d downloaded online for the Doge’s Palace. Absurd! The online tickets should have been enough. Plus, at the Doge’s Palace, to get the audio guide, you have to download an app and scan the QR code, but the internet connection wasn’t working. Terrible experience.

After a lot of rooms full of coins and statues and antiquities you suddenly enter the really good parts of the palace with the most incredible painted ceilings and frescoes. Walking through The Bridge of Sighs is really cool to see the prison cells. All in all the palace is well worth a visit. Really interesting.

I was very skeptical at first. I was expecting a QR code. Instead of one, I received an email and a WhatsApp message without a code (just the booking number—in very small print). But getting in went smoothly. I had to stop by the ticket counter briefly to get the "right" ticket. Everything went very quickly and without any issues.

Headout was great for getting our tickets but Doges Palace at the price of 100 euros for a family was a bit too much. I would have rather spent that money on something else.

I bought my ticket online through the Headout website. Unfortunately, the ticket wasn’t sent to me by email. So I first had to download the Headout app. But there was no ticket in the app either—just a voucher that I had to exchange for an actual ticket at the ticket counter in the Doge’s Palace. To get to the counter, you have to stand in line with all the other tourists who don’t have a ticket. So I could have just as easily stood in line without Headout and paid the same price at the counter. That way, you’re also more flexible than with an advance booking. So I can only recommend skipping the purchase through Headout. Overall, I really liked the Doge’s Palace, even though I think the 35-euro admission fee is excessive.

The tour was supposed to start at 12:00 noon. We arrived at 11:30 to check in and had to wait until 12:10 for other late arrivals to start walking to the Doge's palace. Once we arrived, we had to wait for the guide that arrived at 12:30 along with a group of people. As it turned out, we were being added to another group that has been in process. The guide moved very fast and we felt very rushed. As the end we finished the tour at 1:20 pm which meant we only had a tour for 50 minutes and not the 1.5 hours as advertised!!! Very disappointing!! We should get a refund on this tour!!

For the other museums (Marciana Library, Archeological Museum, Correr Museum), the pass is valid for 3 days from the date of your Doge’s Palace visit.

All three museums must be visited on the same day since they are part of the same building and have a single entrance.
