We chose to take the transport card, and we'll use it again on our next visit. Picking up the card at the tourist office was very easy, and being able to navigate Barcelona by bus and metro is a real comfort. Barcelona's shopkeepers are very friendly, and most of them speak English.

The Hola Barcelona Travel Card helped me to get around Barcelona's metro system easily. Unfortunately, some of the trains were very crowded, especially in the evenings and at weekends. I really liked the displays on the trains showing the direction of exit - it makes it much easier to find your way around.

    Perfect, the card is very useful. We were able to visit several places and access trains, buses, and the metro in Zone 1 of Barcelona (including Viladecans). The service is very fast. We picked up our cards directly at the airport and they were ready to use right away. We would definitely use this service again!

    Super convenient, the travel card is for all types of public transportation in zone 1, which includes the airport. Too bad you can't choose a 7-day card. Now we first bought a 5-day and then another card for 2 days.

    Booking and using it was easy. The only hassle for me was claiming it because I arrived via train in Barcelona Sants and couldn't claim it there. I had to buy a ticket to Sagrada Familia(nearest pickup point according to train staff).

    Seamless activation

    • After you make the purchase, you’ll can redeem your card at any Tourist Information Office open between 8:30am to 7:40pm.

    • Flying in? Redeem it at the airport metro station to catch the metro to the city. It’s super convenient!

    • Just swipe your card to avail Barcelona's public transportation. The card gets activated the first time you use it.

    • Validity: Before activation, your pass is valid for 90 days after purchase. Your pass is activated as soon as you use it for the first time and is valid for the number of 24-hour periods chosen. For example, if you select a 48-hour pass and take any public transport at 3pm on a Monday afternoon, your pass is valid till Wednesday 3pm.

    • The pass cannot be used by another person.

    • Children under the age of 4 years can travel for free.

    Redemption details

    • You will receive a QR-code mobile voucher, which must be exchanged for a physical Hola Barcelona Travel Card.

    • Your card can only be picked up from official Tourist Information Offices.

    • Airport T1 & T2 desks are open 8:30am–7:30pm. Please ensure your arrival time allows enough time to redeem.

    • If you arrive after the counters close, simply redeem your voucher at any city Tourist Information Office the next day.

    • Your travel card activates the first time you use it on Barcelona public transport.

    • Before first use, the voucher remains valid for 90 days from the date of purchase.

    • Your Barcelona All Inclusive Card: Museums & Transportation ticket voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

    • Please display a printed copy of the voucher with a valid photo ID at the Tourist Information Office to get your physical tickets
