Hello, the colleseo tour was amazing, our guide was informative and spoke at a perfect rate of speed giving us time to absorb the information, and even did a pop test at the end, she made it fun and memorable. I believe her name was Alice. On the otherhand our tour for the Vatican was difficult to understand, spoke quickly and not clearly at all. Keep in mind that I speak Italian fluently, and English....but he was hard to follow and lost our interest. He also seemed to be very heavily focused on the smaller less significant details when he explained things and missed the most significant pieces on such a short tour. Did not even go to the alter area but spent more time on the tombs...didn't speak to the cupola which for me was a huge missed opportunity.

It was great! I sent a message to find out how to get the audio guide because it wasn't showing up. I sent a message and they told me they would give me the audio guide when I arrived at the location shown on the map. I got there but couldn't find anyone, so I called the number they gave me. I had to look for someone with a green flag, and that person gave me the code to enter the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Forum. The app was very good. You can see the map as you go along, and as you pass each point, it tells you what the place is. Very practical, fast, and cheap. If you have any questions, ask Headout's customer service. They respond immediately and tell you everything you need to know. I had a great time. It was easy to enter the places. I also went to Disney with Headout. Highly recommended!

My rating is one star. I enjoyed the tour, but I don't understand why I had to buy tickets online and then pick up paper tickets at the venue. This opens up opportunities for fraud or even for your customers to miss out on the experience. Not to mention that they changed the ticket time without valid justification and without asking me if I could, and the communication was made via WhatsApp, which raised a lot of suspicions. I almost lost access because of that.

Good tour and many thanks to ilarea our tourguide who told us great things about how things looked and worked in Rome in the past - of course 'we had to use our imagination'. Never knew that romans had their marble decorative elements always colored on the top!

Very good, except at the basilica, where we never found the guide, and what's more, the Vatican basilica is free. So paying over €50 for stairs and a non-existent guide when you can get one there and then. And no skip-the-line access.

What's not allowed

Large backpacks, and luggage are not allowed inside the venue.

No storage facility is available. You can, however, take a baby stroller into the Colosseum with you, should it be necessary.

Additional information

Names are mandatory for Colosseum bookings. Double-check the names at checkout for a hassle-free entry. Be sure to bring a valid photo ID with you to gain entry.

Please note that timed priority entry is only available at the Colosseum, but the tickets for the Forum and Palatine will remain valid for an additional 24 hours after the Colosseum entry time selected during booking.

Note that there are 2 entrances: one for the Colosseum, and another for the Roman Forum & Palatine Hill (combined). You may enter each entrance ONLY ONCE and not re-enter.

The security check can take 30 mins or more. To make the process quicker, please insert any object (including mobile phone) in the bag/backpack or in the tray to be included in the X-ray.

Going for the audio guide? Simply ensure that the guides are downloaded on the Headout app before your visit. It’s super simple to use, and you get offline access with an easy language-switching feature. Just make sure your phone is fully charged and don’t forget to bring your favorite headphones!

If you’ve selected a variant with Mamertine Prison access, your visit begins at the Mamertine Prison (Via Clivo Argentario). Please arrive here at least 1 hour before your Colosseum time slot to collect your ticket.
