The visit was extremely nice, we used headout to book colloseum and the prison and roman forum tickets, we reached around 4 pm and the automatically re framed our timing so we could cover the prison in time , guided us properly around the colloseum and roman forum , where to take the bus , where to exit. We skipped the lines in extreme Roman heat and it was worth it. We took the audio tour and trust, it was worth it to get more context of all the things in roman history

We were so disappointed when the official 18€ Colosseum tickets sold out, but Headout saved our trip! Once inside, my mind was blown. The sheer size of the building is unimaginable for the era it was built—it 100% deserves to be a Wonder of the World. Honestly, it felt like walking straight into a Game of Thrones set. You see these massive, supernatural-looking buildings on TV and never believe they exist in real life. But this one actually does!

We picked up the tickets at the agreed-upon location. However, it was complete chaos there at first, and the lady from Vivicos Tours was, unfortunately, a bit rude and initially didn’t give us the correct information about which guide we were supposed to go to. It’s best to arrive at the agreed-upon location early enough to avoid any stress. I’d deduct one point because of the lady, but since we did receive the tickets, I’m giving it 5 stars.

An amazing place that’s definitely worth seeing while in Rome! 🏛️ The Colosseum is incredibly impressive both from the outside and on the inside. You can feel the atmosphere of ancient Rome and truly be transported back in time. The tour is a thrilling experience, and the structure itself is impressive. The combo was an excellent way to experience Rome’s highlights. Visiting the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Vatican Museums and Pantheon was smooth and well organized. Our guide was one of kind entertainer, party guy/90s jukebox. 😂 Maybe little too much talk of history and standing long in the heat but most of the stories were engaging and it was great to be a character in the stories. Inside colosseum it would be a great idea to suggest if anybody want to visit the gift shop if somebody would like to buy souveniers.

To see the colosseum as you turn a corner on a street is an absolutely unbelievable sight. To go in the colosseum is something I cannot describe. You need to be there to understand. When your standing inside it, it roots you to the spot. It's been a week since I visited and im still in awe.

What’s not allowed

Objects such as large bags, sharp items and loose electronics must be placed in the X-ray tray during security screening.

Additional information

If your access includes Mamertine Prison, your visit must begin there and you must arrive at least 1 hour before your Colosseum time slot to collect your entry ticket.

Timed access applies to the Colosseum only; Forum and Palatine Hill can be visited anytime within 24 hours but each entrance may be used only once.

Note that there are 2 entrances: one for the Colosseum, and another for the Roman Forum & Palatine Hill (combined). You may enter each entrance ONLY ONCE and not re-enter.

The security check can take 30 mins or more. To make the process quicker, please insert any object (including mobile phone) in the bag/backpack or in the tray to be included in the X-ray.

Each site has different opening hours, so check in advance. Plan around 2–3 hours for the Colosseum, 1–1.5 hours each for Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, and 30–45 minutes for Mamertine Prison.
