Beautiful photogenic small castle, which is like a maze. I was surprised by its cosiness, compactness. I recommend to go as early as possible in the morning, because it is crowded with tourists and sometimes you have to stand in the castle and wait for the passage or stairs to open. We spent about an hour in the castle. At the end of the tour you can pay separately for a lift ride and exit the castle through the passageway below. There is an interactive video installation in the corridor where we learned more interesting things.

Easy to buy tickets. No need to stand in a huge queue to enter the castle. It's worth going through the "Time Tunnel", a modern elevator that connects the castle to the royal park, with an interactive multimedia exhibition about the history of the castle and the period when Queen Mary of Romania lived there and the legend of Dracula.

About the ticket It is negative that upon the online purchase you cannot change anything neither the entry time and that you cannot buy online extras (i.e. torture chamber) The experience in the castle was good but too many people. I would establish a treshold for every slot considering the respect of minimal safety rules.

    • Fun fact: Princess Ilena ran the castle as a hospital during World War II. She named it 'The Hospital of the Queen’s Heart' and provided treatment for wounded soldiers from Brasov.

    The castle is really nice, but very crowded. It was easy to enter when I downloaded the app. The route through the castle is well organized, as it is a round one way tour. More castles should be like that.
