A Christmas Carol
Offering a magical new interpretation of Charles Dickens’ beloved story, A Christmas Carol, by Matthew Warchus is a timeless holiday masterpiece that evokes a sense of festive spirit.
Why Watch A Christmas Carol
Charles Dickens’ timeless tale about a bitter old man who has a change of heart has been endlessly adapted since it first appeared at Christmas in 1843. Visionary author Jack Thorne aims to heighten the story’s hallucinatory aspect with an unexpected pang of psychological depth. Warchus’ production effectively uses all resources at their disposal, turning this dream-like fantasy into an all-inclusive experience. Starring Campbell Scot as Ebenezer Scrooge, the play will also feature Tony Award-winner Rob Howell’s (The Ferryman, Matilda) scenic and costume design, lighting design by Tony winner Hugh Vanstone (Hillary and Clinton, Matilda), and sound design by Tony nominee Simon Baker (Girl from the North Country, Matilda).
