Jake made what could be quite a somber tour of Dachau into an informative and educational experience, and did a great job at lightening the mood when needed.

Tom was a very good tour guide and gave us a lot of information about daily life in the Dachau camp. It really made us think and gave us goosebumps to realize how a human being can be so cruel as to treat another like a piece of meat. I hope from the bottom of my heart that humanity will someday learn something from this and that such cruelties will never happen again.

Alex was fabulous as a tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and very fluid with the group and our needs and wants. We traveled by bus and train and it was still a very smooth process. And of course the Dachau Memorial was moving.

Definitely do a tour to get a grasp on what can be an overwhelming experience. Hein was great at moving us through the crowds and giving tips on how to get back for a second look.

Scott led a well researched and empathetic tour of Dachau. We were a fairly big group but he did a great job of managing us and allowing free time too.

Marc, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the subject, and we were able to get a real sense of what life was like at the Dachau camp. What's more, his English was easy to understand, even for people who didn't speak English very well.

Join a somber, focused half-day visit with an expert guide, designed to help you understand Dachau Memorial Site with clear context and reflection.

Start in Munich, meet your English-speaking guide, then travel together by public transport for round-trip transfers, so you stay with the group from city to memorial.

Your guided visit covers key areas of the former camp, including original gas chambers, crematorium, prisoner barracks, and the Nandor Glid Monument.

Walk through the memorial with your guide, hear survivor accounts and historical insights, and have time at key sites for quiet contemplation and learning.
