Our guide was super friendly, efficient, and fun... she has a remarkable knowledge of the history of Florence and Florentine painting... she explained each selected painting with passion and in an entertaining way, with anecdotes and lots of details that we didn't know... it's the first time I've understood every painting presented! Before, I used to look at them without understanding all the symbolism. What's more, she speaks very good French! Many thanks! Well done to her.

PAM our guide was extremely detailed and knowledgeable about the history of the Uffizi Gallery and each of the paintings she throughly discussed. Her English was excellent and understandable. Didn't rush us through the whole tour. She knew where to position the group to best see each of the paintings despite the sizable crowds in each of the galleries. Her patience made this one of the BEST tours on our extensive trip through Italy.

Good morning! Yesterday, we were fortunate enough to meet an exceptional guide who was extremely knowledgeable and engaging in his explanations. He was polite, knowledgeable, and very courteous. He revealed mysteries and anecdotes about Renaissance works that would otherwise have remained unknown to us. He even managed to engage and fascinate a 17-year-old teenager with the subject! It was my first time taking a guided tour. I really liked the audio guide they provided us with; it allowed us to clearly hear what our guide, Cosetta, was telling us during the tour, even with all the people crowding the museum—everything was very clear. Our guide, Cosetta, did a great job explaining the exhibits and interesting facts, and she was always willing to answer questions. I highly recommend it.

Our guide Francesca was very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. She answered all our questions, pointed out the best camera shots of the most famous paintings and views from the galleries. Would definitely recommend Francesca if you book this tour. We were a small group of 7 and were lucky enough to avoid queues and a lot of large tours for most of our visit. Buonissima!

What's not allowed

Re-entry is not allowed once you leave the gallery.

Shutterbugs take note, flash photography and drones are prohibited in the gallery.

You cannot bring outside food or drinks into the gallery.

Leave your furry friends behind, the venue does not allow pets except for service animals with advance notice.

Additional information

Every first Sunday of the month, the museum follows normal opening hours and entry is free for everyone.

All visitors must leave umbrellas, large bags, and backpacks in the cloakroom located near the museum entrance. The use of the cloakroom is free.

Please note that all visitors to the museum must go through the security check. At the busiest times, the line for the check takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
