I purchased my tickets ahead online. It was fast smooth and easy. Although watching the sunset was beautiful, it seemed to be the most popular time to go. There were way too many people to really get good pics.

When we arrived at the scheduled time, we were told that visibility was poor due to low clouds, and I was offered the option to reschedule the visit. The observation deck is lower than the newer ones in New York, such as The Edge or Summit, but the views of the Empire State Building and Central Park are unbeatable. They offer the option of riding a rotating outdoor elevator, as well as taking photos on a beam that recreates the iconic image of the workers who built the building.

Access two of NYC’s most iconic observatories with one combo ticket and take in skyline views from both Midtown and Hudson Yards.

Timed entry to Top of the Rock gets you access to all three levels, with sweeping indoor-outdoor views over Central Park and the Empire State.

Saw an IG post and is impressed by the view and paid a premium for 7:30pm sunset observations Somehow disappointed by the crowd control because they allow timing from 7pm - 7:30pm to the deck and there is no time limit. The crowd is bad and unable to have a space for photo taking.
