What I liked best was the visit to the aquarium. Everything was very interesting and beautifully designed. I was particularly impressed by the sharks and the colorful fish.

Everything was perfect—we arrived on time and everything was well organized. I loved the place; it’s a must-see if you’re visiting Sintra.

The view over the city and the Tagus River is one-of-a-kind, and it’s my favorite spot. We saved this highlight for the last day of our trip and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the city from this perspective.

Lisbon Beyond the Obvious We didn’t expect much. A soccer stadium is just a soccer stadium, right? Wrong. The tour of Estádio da Luz began, and it was hard not to get excited. Walking through the tunnel the players take before every game, stepping into the locker room, sitting in the substitutes’ seats along the sideline—all of this creates an atmosphere that gradually draws you in. And when the field comes into view, huge and immaculate, it really hits you. The eagles, Benfica’s symbol, complete the scene with a presence that’s impressive up close. The museum, then, capped off the tour perfectly: lots of history, lots of passion, and the feeling of having understood this city a little better. We also underestimated the Oceanário. We thought it would be “just another aquarium.” But the size, the colors, the movements, the incredible variety of marine life—everything there invites you to slow down and take your time looking around. We left there enchanted. And the surrounding Parque das Nações even gave us a bonus that wasn’t on the itinerary. Lisbon is like that: you think you know what you’re going to find, and it surprises you all the same.
