Heraklion Attractions

Wow!!! We were extremely fortunate to have Katerina as our tour guide for Knossos Palace (Sept., 2026.) Katerina's knowledge of archaeology is derived, in part, from the pursuit of her Ph.D. in Archaeology. That, and her quick sense of humor, were wonderful "Bonuses" for our group! P.S. Katerina took this photo of me and my husband. Thank you so much! 😊 🙏

I didn't use HeadOut because I paid too much for the tickets. A six-euro commission per ticket is way too much! On top of that, I didn't get to use the audio guide. I gave stars for the archaeological site, which I found interesting.

Using the audio guide app at the Heraklion Archaeological Museum was a fantastic experience that really enhanced our visit. The commentary was delightfully concise and focused perfectly on the museum’s main highlights. It kept us engaged without feeling overwhelmed by too much information. Our only minor challenge was occasionally struggling to locate the exact artifacts mentioned in the audio. Clearer visual cues or display numbers in the app would make this otherwise excellent tool absolute perfection.
