It was a frantic rush to arrive on time for our reserved time slot. Just admiring the magnificent building that houses the museum was a treat in itself. The sun peeked through the clouds, which a warm breeze was trying to blow away. The immense lobby was packed with people, after a quick pass through the attendants checking QR codes and… even my purse! Finally, the stunning second floor: Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and above all, Vermeer… plus the Bride’s House, the Delft pottery, and the historic library. I’m overwhelmed by all this art!!!

Great presentation and impressive! The flight over Holland could be longer. Holland has beautiful coasts and cities as well. They should have focused more on this. On the next visit to Amsterdam, "This is Holland" will definitely be included again.

Quick booking, but accessing the tickets was cumbersome and unreliable. At the museum entrance, we couldn't show all the tickets initially. I had to go back to my emails and load the tickets again.

The Rijksmuseum truly impressed me. Besides the famous masterpieces, the highlight of my visit was discovering Hendrick Avercamp and his beautiful painting Winter Landscape with Skaters. I had never heard of him before, and I completely fell in love with that lively winter scene on the ice. I even regret not picking up the magnet with the painting in the museum shop. The whole museum is inspiring, well‑organized, and full of wonderful surprises — I left feeling enriched and delighted by this unexpected discovery.

Well-organized, everything runs smoothly, no long lines, helpful staff. The program has changed (this was my third time there); it’s informative, and yes, the flight is still a pleasure—even on my third visit. My expensive sunglasses, which I’d lost, were waiting for me when I went to ask if they’d been found. They could just as easily have been “gone” for good.

The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is a wonderful museum. It’s beautifully clean, well organised, and the collection of paintings is absolutely stunning. There are so many incredible masterpieces to see, and the atmosphere makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a must-visit when you’re in Amsterdam!

Rijksmuseum

Tickets allow entry up to 15 minutes after the scheduled time. You may remain inside until closing.

Cash payments are not accepted at the museum’s cafes and shops.

Guests unable to navigate the museum independently may bring one companion for free. A companion ticket can be collected at the entrance.

Tickets are valid only for the selected date and time slot and cannot be rescheduled.
