Best things to do in Auckland

Today was a busy day on the ferry, the bus and on Waiheke Island as there was a cruise ship in Auckland, but we still had fun. The only issue was the hop-on hop-off bus, because they were so many people they pulled in additional drivers, our bus only went to stop 7 and we had to get off and wait 20mins for another bus to come along and pick us up, sadly the stop had no shade to stand under.

If you are looking for a more personal tour, away from the crowds, this will be for you. We always look to use smaller operators and this family business ticked all the boxes for us. From the start, getting kitted up in our Thermal finery. To the walk though the family property to the caves. Ash was a gentleman, lots of funny stories and always making sure you were safe. The caves were stunning and you were definitely on a road less traveled. The Glow Worms were amazing and you could spend hours looking at what shapes the water had created in the rocks and calcium deposits.
