First performed in 1986, the Phantom of the Opera is one of the most popular and longest-running shows in the world. With a score written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Charles Hart, the musical is a theatre phenomenon that continues to entertain people even today. Beneath the grand Paris Opera House lurks a shadowy figure—the Phantom—haunting its halls and secretly mentoring the young soprano Christine Daaé. As Christine’s voice soars, so does the Phantom’s obsession, drawing her into a mesmerizing yet dangerous world. Torn between her masked maestro and her devoted childhood love, Raoul, Christine’s fate unravels amidst a backdrop of chandeliers, opera, and breathtaking theatrical illusions. Will this mysterious “ghost” seduce Christine, or will she choose to be with Raoul? It was a dream of mine to watch this show for years ! So happy I was finally able to do so. And it was even better then I could've imagined. The sets are incredible and bigger then you think. The costumes are absolutely gorgeous and fit right in with the story. For example the red scarf. The actors, singers, dancers are amazing and fill the stage with breathtaking emotions. And you can not forget about the music. So beautifully written that I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it. This show is incredible. A classic that everyone should see at least ones if they're able to do so !Carri
