One Ticket to The Shard, A Lifetime of Memories When my sister, brother-in-law, and niece came from the US, we wanted to do something special together before my niece starts college and gets busy with a whole new chapter of life. So, my wife, our six-year-old daughter, and I booked tickets to The Shard through Headout. We thought we were just going to see London from above. We didn't realise we were about to create one of our favourite family memories. The moment we reached the top, our daughter was convinced she could see the whole world from there! My niece was busy taking pictures from every angle, my brother-in-law kept saying, "Wow!" every few minutes, and my sister and wife couldn't stop smiling at the breathtaking views. But the funniest and most unexpected highlight? The washroom! Only at The Shard can you be on the 69th floor and find yourself staring at the sky through a huge transparent glass wall while washing your hands. We all ended up talking about the bathroom almost as much as the view itself! Who knew a washroom could become a tourist attraction? As the sun set and London's lights started sparkling below us, we took a family photo together. Looking at that picture now, I don't just see London's skyline. I see my daughter's excitement, my niece's laughter before college life begins, and the joy of having family from two countries together under one roof—or rather, above almost every roof in London. Thanks to Headout, our trip to The Shard wasn't just sightseeing. It was laughter, surprises, and one unforgettable day where even the bathroom had a view worth talking about!

I enjoyed my visit very much, very memorable experience. Thank you very much for the help from Staff with my luggages. :) But 1 thing caused me a really big disappointment: We were not allowed to see the open, top level with the panorama view and the "glass floor"! Which was the most waited and expected thing for me! :( The maintenance should not be in the most busiest summer period! And I would have appreciated if it was communicated to us, before the visit! Not just causing disappointment on the scean! I can not come back any time, I live 300km away, in Leeds! I just managed to get away from work and come down to London for a few days! :( so if there are any changes, or something like this, please let us know in time! Thank you very Much! :)

Quick check-in. The elevator goes up really fast, but you have to switch elevators halfway up. The view from the top is amazing! They serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as cake. The prices are reasonable. It’s definitely worth the trip up. The one photo that’s included is a joke. There’s no choice of scene, people are in the shot, and the background is blurry.
    • Ride high-speed lifts to one of London’s tallest viewing platforms and enjoy 360° skyline views stretching up to 40 miles in every direction.

    • Begin your visit on Level 68, then explore Level 69’s panoramic indoor gallery for iconic sights like Tower Bridge, Big Ben, and St. Paul’s.

    • Step onto Level 72’s open-air sky deck for an immersive experience and see its distinctive glass facade from the top floor.

    • Upgrade your visit with fast-track entry and a glass of champagne or soft drink, or get an immersive London city audio narrating the tales of the city's icons.

Disappointed that we didn't know that the upper levels were closed until we got up there. This was a birthday present for my daughter and I wasn't able to take her to the top. It should have been stated the top levels weren't accessible before I booked it

The Tower of London was great, but during our visit to "View from the Shard," we could only go up to the 68th floor; the rest of the way up to the 72nd floor was closed, supposedly due to some kind of construction work—which we hadn't been told about beforehand and found annoying.
  • See London like never before from The Shard’s Skydeck, with sweeping 360° views from one of the tallest buildings in Western Europe.

    Getting started

Head to The Shard's entrance with your mobile ticket in hand. Pass through a security screening and scan your ticket for access to the viewing levels.

    What to expect

    The View from The Shard

Step into the high-speed elevators that whisk you to floors 68 and 69, home to spacious indoor viewing galleries. Then, ascend to level 72’s open-air Skydeck for uninterrupted views of the London skyline, stretching up to 40 miles on a clear day.

    Features:

    • Levels 68 & 69 galleries: Indoor observation areas with floor-to-ceiling glass for panoramic city views.

    • Skydeck (Level 72): An open-air platform offering a dramatic perspective above London’s rooftops.

    • London landmarks: Spot the Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, and more.

    • Digital photo package: Included with your ticket to capture and keep your experience.

    • Architecture: Learn about The Shard, a marvel of modern architecture designed by Renzo Piano, made up of a staggering 11,000 glass panels.

    Extras

    • Fast-track admission with champagne: Includes a glass of champagne or a non-alcoholic drink for a celebratory experience with fast-track entry to The Shard.

    • Engaging audio guide: Don’t just see the landmarks—discover them with an immersive London city audio guide that transforms the view from The Shard into a living history book, narrating the tales of the icons beneath your feet as you spot them from the clouds.

    Wrapping up

Your experience ends at the viewing platform, where you’re free to linger or head back down at your own pace. Continue exploring nearby attractions or enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants in The Shard.
