The evening river cruise was nice with the night lights and a narrated history of the city. Boarding was easy and it is nice to get on early to enjoy the views. They take group photos before you board. The photos are available for purchase after the cruise ends. The cruise was a bit too long, but this is just a personal preference. I think 90 minutes would have been perfect. I didn't do the dinner so can't comment on that. If it's your first time visiting, it's a nice and relaxing activity to do.

This was my fourth cruise on the Natchez. Every time has been a different experience. This time was special because it was a full moon which was beautiful on the Mississippi River in early November. The tour was wonderful. We enjoyed live jazz music and this time took advantage of going down to see the engine room and Thelma and Louise. I would highly recommend this to any trip to New Orleans. For me it is a must every time I take someone new to experience the Crescent City.

I have been coming to visit NOLA off and on since 1990 with my family and friends. My husband and I had talked for years about riding but unfortunately he passed before we could. This week I came down with a sweet friend and it was all I hoped. I Love the calliope!!! The weather was perfect and the ride was great! The crew and staff as well as the musicians made this a lifetime experience for me. Thank y'all and God bless!

Everything was very enjoyable on the Steamboat Natchez Sightseeing Jazz Cruise. I enjoy Jazz, so the band were very enjoyable and the music was great. The boarding was smooth and didn't take long, and once on board , moving around the steamboat was easy, there were so many places to explore and view the scenery, even a visit to the engine room, which was a surprising addition to what I expected. There is also a gift shop for any souvenirs. The commentary was very informative and helpful too. There were many tables and chairs inside to rest, have a drink or bite to eat. Athough i didnt order a meal so i can't comment on that. I did also get to see the paddle working too, so everything was covered. I was very satisfied and happy with the whole experience and I am so pleased i booked this trip.

Visited the gift shop and purchased a captains hat...😊 We had the best weather there also. The narrator was thorough and very informative. Thank you for our wonderful experience.

    What to expect

This vessel continues the tradition of classic river cruising, offering a unique perspective on New Orleans’ riverfront and history.

    Features

    • Live Jazz music: Musicians will perform traditional jazz onboard, a hallmark of New Orleans culture and a highlight of every cruise.

  • What to bring

    • Shirts and shoes are required on all cruises. While casual attire is fine, we recommend you turn up in “dressy casual” for the Dinner Jazz Cruise. Switch your jeans for some dress pants or a skirt and a blouse or a stylish top. Men can zhuzh it up with a collared shirt (button-down or polo).

You’ll still enjoy the same two-hour river journey, complete with traditional live jazz, craft cocktails, and beautiful city views. Don’t forget to head up to the top deck for the best lookout point.
