I definitely recommend the boat tour! We bought our tickets right in the app for the 7:20 p.m. tour. After purchasing them, you’ll find all the necessary information, including your tickets, in the app. We arrived for the cruise 15 minutes before it started. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman to whom we showed our ticket in the app; he gave us a boarding pass and seated us. We then waited for the cruise to begin, which started exactly at 7:20 PM. We presented our boarding pass when boarding the boat. We boarded the boat, where glasses of prosecco or orange juice were waiting for us. Up on the boat, there were benches with plenty of space, and each bench had a soft cushion, so sitting was comfortable. The boat moved at a moderate speed, slowly, and the entire cruise was a pleasant experience for us. It was a truly pleasant evening; we sat, chatted, sipped prosecco, and enjoyed the beautiful views of the sights. From 7:20 PM to 8:20 PM, the sun was just setting, so we didn’t get to see the Parliament building lit up at night, but that didn’t bother us at all. If you want to see the Parliament at night, take the cruise later in the evening. However, there were fewer people on our cruise, which suited us just fine; by the time the next cruise departed, there were quite a few more people waiting, precisely because of the illuminated Parliament. At the end of the cruise, the waiters came to collect the empty glasses. I’m planning to go back to Budapest, and I’ll definitely take the boat cruise again.

The Danube cruise went according to plan, the travel conditions were excellent, the drinks served were good and the free tour on Margaret Island was pleasant and comforting. Both boats I traveled on had very comfortable seats, visibility was very good, the staff on the boat were very polite and supportive, and the translations in the headphones were in many more languages than you can find on a touristic bus, for example. I would also like to appreciate the quality of the descriptions presented by the guide who accompanied us during the free 45-minute walking tour of the island, as well as the cheerful and lively atmosphere maintained by her. In conclusion, I highly recommend this trip to other tourists who will spend a city break in Budapest.

Tout is St. Stephen's Basilica with a live tour guide in the morning. Viviene was great. Learned a lot about the Basilica and Hungarian history. Then in the afternoon a tour of the Parliament building. Tickets allowed us to walk right in at our appointed time. 5% off for booking both together. A great bargain.

The cruise was efficient and showed us a lovely tour of Budapest lit up at night. The only drawback was that neither my daughter's or my headset worked, so we missed out on the audio part. This was okay as we knew many of the sites from a previous trip and could focus on taking photos.

The night cruise on the Danube is incredible; the boat is very cozy, offers audio guides about Budapest’s history in multiple languages, has comfortable seats, a spacious interior, and is accessible to everyone...

A great way to enjoy the city’s sights from the Danube. It’s best to take a cruise at sunset. This gives you the chance to see how the city transforms as the lights of its iconic buildings come on at dusk.
    • Skip the lines at St. Stephen’s Basilica for a guided tour, treasury access, and panoramic terrace views, then enjoy a scenic day or evening Danube cruise with a drink.

    • Both spots are just a 15-minute walk or quick drive apart, making it easy to visit in one day. Booking together saves time and ensures a smooth Budapest experience.

    • Upgrade for a guided lookout terrace tour with stunning city views and an in-depth exploration of the treasury’s rare artifacts at St. Stephen’s Basilica.

We had booked a 60-minute Danube tour (June 4, 2026; starting at 9:40 PM). Unfortunately, however, it ended back at the starting point after just 45 minutes—unexpectedly and for reasons not apparent to us as customers (such as weather-related changes). This is unfair, given that we had paid the full price for several adults and therefore expected the service to be delivered in full. The fact is, we were deprived of 25% of the service we paid for. Since no further trips were scheduled after ours, it seems they simply wanted to go home... Of course, the operator cannot take credit for the fact that Budapest looks impressive from the Danube at night.

Our night cruise was FANTASTIC!! From scheduling to walking off the boat was seamless. Saw a huge line and thought UGH ...but that was the line for the other boats. Nice modern boat. Super clean which is important to us. Headsets worked throughout the cruise (not broken up like other tours we have taken in past). After we docked, staff did not rush us off. Let us savor the moment of this beautiful city. You will not be disappointed with this tour.

Cruise itself was really good, with a excellent route down the Danube and a good viewing experience. The audio guide was interesting and relevant. Checkin experience was a little bit rushed due to people quickly running upstairs to hold seats, and the welcome drink experience was somewhat delayed (as some people got served drinks whereas others had to walk up) but these was minor issues
  • St. Stephen’s Basilica

Skip the long lines at St. Stephen’s Basilica and step into a grand hall with soaring domes, towering marble columns, walls covered in gold-trimmed frescoes, and mosaics depicting biblical scenes. Your guide shares the stories behind the artwork and relics, including St. Stephen’s mummified right hand, displayed in an ornate glass case. The treasury showcases embroidered vestments, jewel-studded chalices, and ancient manuscripts. Ride the elevator to the panoramic terrace, where you’ll see Budapest’s skyline unfold, from the bridges of the Danube to the hills of Buda.

    Budapest Sightseeing Cruise

Cruise down the Danube River with a drink and audio commentary for a front-row seat to Budapest’s most stunning sights. Pass by the Hungarian Parliament’s neo-Gothic facade lined with spires and crowned with a massive red dome. Across the water, Buda Castle sits high on a hill, a palace complex with Baroque courtyards. As you drift under the Chain Bridge, look at its massive stone pillars and cast-iron chains, a marvel of 19th-century engineering. Sip your drink while spotting Matthias Church’s colorful tiled roof and the dome of St. Stephen’s Basilica towering above the cityscape.
