We booked this tour months in advance. Everything was well-organized and clearly marked. The app led us to the meeting point, which was a small café in the middle of a square. It’s important to arrive at least 20 to 30 minutes before the start time of the tour. The guide then led us to the security line. A very friendly guide who took the time to chat with the group while we waited. Since it was the day after Easter Monday, we had to wait about an hour in line to get through security, but that gave us time to admire the basilica from the outside and take some photos. Then, we went straight up to the dome and waited another hour before going up (max 100 people at the top). The wait was well worth it!! A splendid view of the entire Vatican!! We chose the stairs and it wasn’t too bad. There are places to take breaks. However, be careful if you’re claustrophobic—the staircases are sometimes very narrow

We enjoyed the St Peter Basilica, it's amazing! But, the process of going inside was a big burden. They asked us to be their 45 mins before the entry time. But, the policeman who is very very rude, such a disgrace to be part of the St Peter (the most Holy catholic place) and he was very agreesive, no manners ar all, very arrogant closed the gate, and we waited more than an hour, 25 degrees with kids. We were roasting. As soon as we got in, all was amazing! The Church was absolutely breath-taking.

The tickets gave us a specific time slot, and we went in at exactly the time allocated. Tickets were emailed to me shortly before the due time, so didnt even need to find the collection point. The actual Bascilica was incredible. Absolutely huge and beautiful. Without the time slot the queue was probably about 3-4 hours to get in.

Visiting the basilica and the Vatican Grottoes was an amazing experience. Once inside, you’re immediately struck by its majesty and solemnity. Here, too, thanks to our advance ticket purchase, we avoided waiting in line for several hours. An experience not to be missed

Everything was wonderful. Of course, there was a bit of a line since I visited St. Peter’s Basilica, and there are people from all over the world there. However, the line was much shorter than the one for people who didn’t buy tickets through Headout. It was fantastic—I highly recommend it.

The tour of the Basilica went pretty well, but the wait to get in is very long (it takes several hours in the sun, so be warned!) due to security checks. Our guide, Ricardo, was very patient and led us all the way up to the dome. My only downside is that I didn’t find paying to visit the dome to be a particularly breathtaking experience—you climb a lot of stairs and wait a long time just to pay a hefty price for a view of the city. Personally, I didn’t think it was worth it. On the other hand, the audio guide provided with the basilica tour, as well as the basilica itself, are definitely worth the detour and the wait! I recommend (if possible) booking in the morning to fully enjoy the basilica, because if you book for the afternoon and factor in the long wait times, you’ll quickly find yourself facing the site’s closing time, so you can’t really enjoy the experience at your own pace.

We found the Headout counter without any trouble. The guide escorted the group through the entrance. We arrived early, so the line at security was still manageable. Unfortunately, there was a technical issue at the entrance checkpoint that took about an hour to resolve... so be sure to allow plenty of time. But the dome and the view of Rome were amazing.
