We were already at Sky Garden at 8:00 AM, but unfortunately it was very cloudy. Luckily we stayed up there until just before 10:00 AM, by which time the sky was clear and you could see across all of London!

On our recent trip to London we wanted to see the city from above but didn't want to deal with the crowds or cost of The Shard. We found that you can enter the Sky Garden before everyone else AND get coffee and a pastry included. Entry was very easy - you check in downstairs and take the elevator up to the 35th floor. From there you are free to wander around and enjoy the scenery for 2 hours. The Sky Garden had a nice selection of coffee drinks to choose from and a small assortment of pastries (I got the chocolate croissant). Plenty of seating available and the restrooms were easy to find. Definitely check this out if you want an aerial view of London.

Even though the event was already sold out on the official websites, I was still able to successfully get tickets here. Everything went as scheduled. Marilu, the host at The Larch restaurant, was very kind. She suggested that I go to the Sky Garden terrace first. It was perfect. I had the opportunity to visit the open-air terrace at the Sky Garden and take great photos of the River Thames, the Tower of London, and the Stone Bridge. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, and on top of that, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. For the reasons mentioned above, I would recommend this tour to family and friends wishing to visit London.

The combination of London from above and London from the water was absolutely amazing to get a good feeling for the city and see a lot of sights in one time and from different perspectives. Because the boat tour is flexible, you can hop off at another destination and continue your sight seeing. On the boat, you also get a lot of interesting information and storys, the captains are very committed. Wouldn't miss it!

Sky Garden wasn't great. We could have skipped it because the London Eye is better for taking photos from above. It's redundant. Better to just go to the London Eye alone.
