My girlfriend loved the romantic castles! After picking up the tickets at the office it was clear what to do. Great explaination! We traveled to the castles, parked the car exactly where we wanted. We visited both castles and really enjoyed the our experience! It is important to be at Neuschwanstein at time for your time slot. We were a bit late and had to rush up the stairs for our tour. other then that lots of reasons to visit both castles! its worth the money!

My visit to Neuschwanstein Castle was a wonderful experience! Before I arrived at the castle, I hadn’t realized that I would learn so much about Bavarian history and the literature of Germanic mythology and legends. These are topics that I’m very interested in as a student of German language and literature and medieval studies. Unfortunately, taking photos inside the castle is not permitted. Therefore, I cannot include any visual images in my review. Nevertheless, the famous image of Neuschwanstein Castle serves as the perfect invitation to discover its history and experience a legendary and magnificent past!

We received our tickets without any problems. They’re even handed out earlier than scheduled. At Neuschwanstein, despite being a few minutes late, we were still assigned a different time slot. Thank you very much for your flexibility.

The castles are magnificent; everything went exactly as planned. We had some trouble finding parking—they told us there were no spots available at the lot listed when we picked up our tickets—but we got lucky: someone was just leaving.

Get skip the line entry at Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein so more of your day is spent inside the rooms instead of standing in ticket queues.

Spend less time planning and more time exploring with practical maps and simple route ideas that help you navigate the castle region and nearby paths.

Inside Neuschwanstein, follow an audio guided route while commentary in your headphones explains rooms and viewpoints as you move along.

A little nervous to use it since it was our first time. Turned out great. We got a lot of tips that we would have missed otherwise.

Visit Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau with skip-the-line entry, audio guide access, and pre-arranged castle timings.

Getting started

Collect your tickets at Füssen Train Station at your booked time slot. After ticket collection, use the practical maps for Füssen and Hohenschwangau to plan your route between the castles and viewpoints. Dress for walking and weather conditions, and keep in mind that large bags are not allowed inside the castles.

Hohenschwangau Castle

What to expect

Start with Hohenschwangau Castle, the childhood residence of King Ludwig II, set above the village of Hohenschwangau. You explore the interiors on your own, following the official schedule arranged for your time slot.

Features

With your skip-the-line ticket for Hohenschwangau Castle, you bypass the main ticket office lines and proceed directly to the castle entry at your reserved time.

Your castle time is booked in advance, so you focus on moving between Füssen, Hohenschwangau, and the castle itself instead of managing bookings on the day.

Neuschwanstein Castle

What to expect

Continue to Neuschwanstein Castle, Ludwig II’s later residence site above the village, reached by walking or local transport options you arrange yourself. Inside, you follow the official route while listening to commentary.

Features

Your skip-the-line ticket for Neuschwanstein Castle provides timed entry that avoids the general ticket queue and lets you join the controlled access line at your designated slot.

An audio-guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle explains what you see in each section as you move through the rooms and corridors, so you can focus on the interiors while listening at your own pace within the official schedule.

Practical maps for Füssen and Hohenschwangau help you identify walking paths and viewpoints around Neuschwanstein, including balcony and surrounding viewpoints that may be accessible, subject to on-site conditions and regulations.

Wrapping up

The experience concludes in the afternoon, around 15:30 or 17:00 depending on your reserved timings. From here, you are free to continue exploring Füssen or make your way back from the area using your own transportation.

What to bring
