We visited the Royal Kitchens and I thought it was amazing. The guide gave clear and entertaining explanations of each area, as well as the function and characteristics of the furniture and utensils. Then, the visit to the palace itself was quite entertaining. We went through the different rooms, with paintings by Goya and other artists from the 18th and 19th centuries, frescoes on the ceilings, and wonderful tapestries on the walls. Ballrooms, dining rooms, throne room, etc. Everything had signs explaining what was in each room and how it was used by the different kings of each era. A visit that will leave you with fond memories.

Everything was perfectly organized, even though it was a rainy day and the access controls were slow. We were soon at the meeting point for the first part of the guided tour of the royal kitchens. Then we continued on to the Royal Palace. Highly recommended visit, we enjoyed it very much. Thank you.

once enter, we were lead to join a guided tour group to visit the kitchen area. What we didn't know is the group leader speak only in Spanish (I think) and the tour took almost 40 min. Luckily we don't have tight schedule, if not, we may not have time to visit other more important places. After the kitchen tour, we were brought to exit without knowing what to do next. we have to ask around to find our way to continue to visit main places of Royal Palace. Regarding the Royal Palace, Tumb UP!
  • Begin your tour with a stroll through the Plaza de la Ameria. Besides catching incredible views of the surrounding countryside, you can also appreciate the Baroque architecture of the palace from the courtyard. Information points are located in various rooms inside the palace to help visitors better understand the exhibits. If you are an art-lover, you will find a plethora of famous works by artists such as Francisco de Goya and Caravaggio. Art exhibitions are also often held inside the palace.

Learn more about all the major attractions in the palace, from a Spanish-speaking guide, such as the Hall of Columns, where Spain signed the agreement to enter the European Union. The Royal Armoury and the Grand Staircase are also fascinating sights. The 2000-square meter Royal Kitchen houses a wealth of preparation rooms and cooking equipment that are over 200 years old.
