Quick and hassle-free entry. The audio guide was already available in advance. This meant we could start our tour right after entering the Pantheon without any stress!

We got in very quickly. You can listen to the audio guide both during the tour and afterward, since it’s a bit hard to hear and see everything because the place is so impressive. It’s worth paying for the guided tour and securing your tickets in advance.

The Pantheon in Rome is one of those places that actually lives up to the hype. Walking inside, the scale immediately hits you—the dome is massive, and the open oculus at the top lets in natural light that changes the entire atmosphere throughout the day. It’s simple compared to other landmarks in Rome, but that’s what makes it impressive. The symmetry, proportions, and engineering are on another level, especially considering how old it is. What stands out most is how well preserved it is. You’re not just looking at ruins—you’re standing inside a structure that has been continuously used for nearly 2,000 years. It feels both historic and alive at the same time. It can get crowded, especially midday, but it’s still worth it. If possible, go early in the morning or later in the evening for a quieter experience. Overall, it’s a must-see in Rome—quick to visit, but memorable.

Just standing in front of the Pantheon is thrilling enough, and being able to quickly go inside and appreciate every detail of this historic monument is even better. There are so many stories surrounding this place; being able to visit the tomb of the King of Italy is simply amazing. The engineering behind the Pantheon’s construction is fantastic—truly the work of geniuses in such a precarious era. I loved everything, but I’d love a quick shower so I could witness the spectacle of water pouring through the opening in the roof. In short: fantastic.

Visiting the Pantheon was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Rome in early April. In Piazza della Rotonda, the square where the Pantheon is located, there were several outdoor cafes, and I took the opportunity to enjoy an Italian cappuccino and a pastry while I waited to be let into the Pantheon. The Pantheon was very beautiful inside, and I highly recommend that anyone visiting Rome make their way there.

The ticket handover went very smoothly, as did downloading the podcast. We were not informed that the Pantheon and Roman Forum are treated as one attraction and only have one shared entrance. This was very annoying. We had assumed that we would be able to visit both places separately on two different days, which was not possible. What a shame!

  • Rome's iconic temple

The Pantheon derives its name from Greek and translates to "all the Gods" (pan = all, theos = God). The building, in fact, was dedicated to all of them and has stood as a testament to the glory of Rome for over 2,000 years. It was built by Emperor Hadrian on the site of an earlier temple commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus.

    Audio guide

With this ticket, you can collect your audio guide at the desk inside the Pantheon, and start learning about its fascinating history on your own tour. The audio guide will help you unravel the history of the monument, and you'll be able to find out how it came to be used as a church and a mausoleum. You'll also get to learn about the Pantheon's extraordinary architectural features such as the oculus of the huge dome.

Remember to bring your own smartphone headphones (no Bluetooth, no wireless), otherwise, you can buy them at the audioguide desk of the Pantheon.
