Honestly I did get there a little late. I do have a critisism for the app, I think at least for this Museum, there shouldn't be the option to choose a time slot. There were 30 minute interval options so that had me thinking the museum could be seen in 30 minutes. This museum was unironically the biggest museum I have ever been in my life. Also, for the two free drinks, maybe add a note that you can get the drinks when the museum closes at 5 because the cafe did not close until 6 so you could theoreticallly go after, so that left us even less time to go see the works of art. Besides that, had a great time! Here are my favorite pieces.
    • Explore Dutch cultural history through over 8,000 objects spanning from the Middle Ages to the 20th century at the Rijksmuseum.

    • Admire Rembrandt’s The Night Watch and Van Gogh’s self-portrait, alongside works by celebrated artists such as Frans Hals, Jan Steen, and Judith Leyster.

    • Wander through galleries showcasing Dutch Golden Age paintings, decorative arts, sculpture, and artifacts, including Delftware and detailed ship models.

    • Upgrade your visit with a choice of 2 drinks, an expert-led guided tour, a self-guided audio tour, or a 75-minute Amsterdam canal cruise that combines city views with commentary for an unforgettable experience.

    • Entry to the Rijksmuseum

    • Access to all permanent collections and temporary exhibitions

    • 2-hour guided tour of the Rijksmuseum (as per option selected)

    • English-speaking guide (as per option selected)

    • Multilingual audio guide in Dutch, Dutch Sign Language, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Mandarin Chinese (as per option selected)

    • 75-min Amsterdam canal cruise (as per option selected)

    • Boarding from the pier near the Rijksmuseum (as per option selected)

    • 2 drinks of your choice from beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee, or tea (as per option selected)

  • These tickets can't be cancelled or rescheduled.

I am grateful for the opportunity to share my experience of visiting the museum. It was a highly educational experience that allowed me to learn about Dutch history while enjoying the exceptional ambience. The staff members were helpful and attentive in addressing questions and concerns. An area for improvement would be clearer directional signage, as I observed that some visitors appeared confused or had difficulty finding their way around.

The audio tour was suburb and I highly recommend. You can choose how much of the museum you want to visit. I went for just the highlights which was still great. The audio provides about 1 to 2 minutes of information. However, there are usually one or two additional modules that you can pick if you want to listen to more. It's so much more enjoyable give you a painting when you know more about the subject matter and techniques being employed.

A huge museum, with an equally huge selection of paintings ranging from van Gogh to Rembrandt! The same goes for the exhibition of ship models and porcelain! The only minor drawback: the descriptions of the paintings in the online guide were a bit sparse and lacking! The descriptions—and the number of them—could definitely be more detailed and more numerous!
