I visited the Rijksmuseum yesterday, 12th November and spent seven hours there. I had wanted to see the range of paintings and other items of art and was truely delighted. The Rijksmuseum has one of the best displays of art work in Europe. The paintings are set out well and I valued the details of each painting and other item of art given close by on the wall. In addition to these, I particularly valued the cards with more details of the paintings. I also loved the display of model ships, along with swords, guns and other arms. My visit was memorable and will stay with me for a long while.

I absolutely loved how my Amsterdam experience combined beauty and culture in the perfect way. The 75-minute canal cruise was magical—gliding through the historic waterways, seeing the city’s iconic architecture from such a unique perspective, and feeling the charm of Amsterdam come alive. Visiting the Rijksmuseum afterwards made the day unforgettable. Standing in front of masterpieces by Rembrandt and Vermeer, I felt both inspired and connected to centuries of history. Together, the cruise and museum created the perfect balance of relaxation and discovery—I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

The building itself was stunning. As soon as I arrived, I was amazed by its beautiful architecture — a mix of history and elegance. When I entered, I felt both excited and a little overwhelmed because there was so much to see. I finally saw Rembrandt’s “The Night Watch” in real life. It was larger and more impressive than I imagined. Walking through the museum, I felt like I was traveling through time. Each room told a different story about Dutch history and culture. The atmosphere was calm, and I could feel the respect that everyone had for the artworks.

It was a wonderful time at both museums. I loved the flexibility and accommodating nature of the staff at Moco so I could really enjoy my visit despite being a little late and having a small suitcase with me which they stored. The art at Moco was beautifully selected and displayed. Rijkmuseum was incredible and initially overwhelming with the amount to see but very easy to navigate and get around. The art was astonishing and the building so beautiful. They staff were ready and eager to help when people needed it. A truly wonderful experience all round. Highly recommend. Needed an hour in Moco and two in Rijks at least.

I really liked this combo, which made it possible to organize a cruise and a visit to the museum over the course of the day, while benefiting from a discount. The tickets were easy to access in the Headout app, and the explanations (location, timetables, etc.) very clear. I recommend this experience! A word of warning, however: the description of the cruise states that it lasts 3 hours, whereas it's actually one hour.

I had a great time. The works are magnificent and the entire museum team is very attentive to our needs. There's also an app to take us on a guided tour of the collections. How to spend 5 hours without realizing it. Simply a must.

Great visit to Rijks museum and a lovely boat trip on the Amsterdam canals. A very good commentary on the passing buildings, bridges as well as general information about Amsterdam.
