Start your adventure bright and early. You'll be picked up from your hotel and head to the base to begin the Mount Batur tour. Follow your experienced Balinese trekking guide, who knows the terrain inside out. Walk the quickest and safest route to the top and experience sunrise views coupled with a tasty breakfast and hot beverage.

Learn about the thermal properties of the volcano at Mount Batur, and explore its craters and natural formations at the top. By the time you journey down, it will be daylight. This is the perfect time to admire views of the black sand and lava streams. You'll also get to see the famous Mount Agung across the valley. Continue onwards to the dreamy Tegalalang Rice Terraces for a refreshing morning coffee, before returning to your hotel.

Tour guides are equipped with personal protective equipment including a mask, face shield, hydro-alcoholic gel

The tour guide will have contact numbers of health authorities and medical centers

Sanitation items are available upon request (you will have to pay for these separately). Make sure to bring your own face mask for safety purposes

Important Information

Make sure to carry with you the following: a camera, a jacket and sun protection

Wear comfortable footwear (i.e. trekking/running shoes)

It is highly recommended that you bring your own face mask and sanitation items

Kindly note that the tour will start at 2.45am for the trek briefing in the base camp. Hotel pick-up starts at 1am depending on your hotel's location.

Itinerary

2:00 AM: Hotel pick-up (location dependent)

3:30 AM: Arrive at the base

3:35 AM: Start Mount Batur hike

5:40 AM: Summit the volcano and watch sunrise with a hot drink and breakfast

7:00 AM: Trek back to the parking lot

8:30 AM: Coffee break at the Tegalalang Rice Terraces

11:30 AM: Estimated time of arrival back to your hotel (earlier if in Ubud)

On the day of your tour, please arrive at your hotel lobby 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time

If your hotel does not have a lobby, please wait at the entrance of your hotel

If you are headed to a meeting point, we would like to stress that heavy traffic in the mornings is expected, and can vary greatly when compared to the travel time stated in navigation apps (e.g. Google Maps, Waze, etc.). Please make sure to leave with enough time to reach your destination
