Online tickets are scanned here or exchanged at the counter, depending on the voucher type, and visitors then pass through a brief bag check. Access from the parking area to the ticket zone appears step-free, with mostly level internal paths, though some slopes are present inside the park. Bali zoo is a really immersive experience from the start. As you walk in you walk through the deer enclosure and can choose to feed them if you want to buy some food. The rest of the zoo is very well laid out and the experiences are up close. The animals are well looked after and well fed. There is also a lot of shade which made it easier to be outside for long periods of time.

We went to the zoo on July 4. It's a nice zoo, but we arrived at 10:30, when it was already getting hot and many of the animals were hiding in the shade and sleeping. We saw the tiger and the elephant being fed.)
