A magnificent castle—there’s not much more to say. It’s definitely worth a visit, no ifs, ands, or buts. Our guide, Steven, was fabulous: punctual, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He conveys passion and expertise with every word. WELL DONE! The tour went very well—from the meeting point to the bus ride up the hill to the carriage ride back down, everything was perfect.

We loved our tour with Stephen, an amazing guide who had a fantastic energy and plenty of interesting stories to share. Much more interesting than the audioguide rushed tour inside the palace. Thanks to him he made this a true appreciative experience and we actually learned many things about the castle and Ludwig. Would recommend him to anyone wanting to visit the castle.

Walking tour with an expert guide from the Marienbrücke to Neuschwanstein. Followed by the standard audio tour of the castle. The guide shed light on all aspects of Ludwig II and Bavaria, from ancient myths to royal families and the relationship with Prussia, right up to Ludwig’s admiration for Wagner. The only downside was that the explanations sometimes went on a bit too long, but they were certainly informative.

Our guide, Stephen, was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and various tales of yore!! We learnt so much!! Meeting place was so convenient and much appreciated the bus up to the bridge and horse & cart down. A truly wonderful day. Massive shout out to Stephen!! P.S. I have been twice before and never learnt as much as this time.

The instructions for meeting up with the guide were very clear. The guide, Steven, was on time. His explanations throughout the tour allowed us to learn a lot about Louis II, his family, and the castles he built. Steven was very attentive and considerate of every member of the group he was guiding.
