Lovely place to visit. Doesn't feel touristy like Gardens by the Bay. Botanic Garden is free and you just walk through there to get to the orchid gardens. So many varieties and some interesting critters if you keep your eyes open! We saw blue banded bees, butterflies, squirrels and a large monitor lizard up a tree. Peaceful, immaculately kept and maintained. Even in the rain it was a delight. Definitely worth a visit and we took the MRT to get there. Download the Singapore transport app as it's easy to search your destination on there and get a choice of bus or MRT travel options. The transport is cheap and efficient.

The weather wasn't cooperative and it thunderstormed the entire time i was there, but it was still stunningly beautiful. The rain just made the weather pleasantly cool and the flowers glistened like gems. I also got seperated from my family and the staff helped me look for them for an hour! Super friendly and helpful. Especially Joe Chen. He kept me calm and helped me find my elderly aunt and mother.

It was absolutely stunning. The National Orchid Gardens was worth it a thousands times over. Beautiful, full of color, shapers. It is quite big and you can stroll at your own pace. It started to storm when there but actually I didn't mind - I think it added this fresh juicy green color to the gardens and the smell of flowers was amazing. Must see place in Singapore.

  • Located within the Singapore Botanic Gardens itself, the National Orchid Gardens is the country’s first-ever UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is, therefore, a world-renowned attraction. Since the year 1859, orchids have been closely associated with botanic gardens. The Gardens’ orchid breeding program deserved a place to showcase the end result, in all their colorful splendor. You could say these orchids were handcrafted by the horticultural staff at the Botanic gardens! This garden boasts over 1,000 species of orchids and 2,000 hybrids of 2 or more orchid species. Walk through the four zones based on seasons, each glamorous with their individual color spectrums.
