CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5A wonderful experience. Even though it was July 25, the times we chose for our visits allowed us to explore at our own pace without having to wait in line. At the Belém Tower, the 10:00 a.m. entry time was perfect, and the light was fabulous for admiring the views from above. The climb up the tower isn’t too strenuous because it’s divided into several sections at each landing. For the Jerónimos Monastery, we had booked a 1:30 p.m. slot, but we managed to get in at 1:00 p.m., so everything went perfectly. The monastery’s architecture is beautiful, and the atmosphere is truly enchanting. Before heading back to Lisbon on the 15E tram (which is very convenient), a stop for some pasteis de nata is a must!BBoumadiane H
CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5There were two lines at the site—one for the cathedral and one for the monastery—but unfortunately there were no signs. I stood in the wrong line for a long time, but luckily I went to ask for directions, and that’s when I was told I needed to switch to the other line—which meant we ended up waiting a lot longer. That’s the only issue that needs to be fixed. Admission to the cathedral is free, while there’s an admission fee for the monastery, but there were no signs indicating which line was for which.YYves D
FamilyVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5A beautiful place to explore. To our surprise, there was no line. (We entered at 2:30 p.m.) We had plenty of time to tour the site (the monastery and church) at our own pace.JJesusma L
GroupVerified booking2 days ago5/5The Maritime Museum in Lisbon was more than a hall of artifacts; it was a portal. I was lured here not by caravels, but by the echoing visuals from BTS’s music video . Standing before the grand compass and intricate astrolabes, I felt a surreal connection—a tangible link to the very symbols of exploration and fate that dance in their music videos. It wasn’t just history; it was the realization of a powerful metaphor. Each model ship felt like a vessel on a destined journey, making our visit an unexpectedly profound, and deeply memorable, pilgrimage.KKamila D
FamilyVerified bookingJul 20265/5The monastery is really beautiful! It makes for some great photos! It’s definitely worth the trip! But São Jorge Castle is undoubtedly the highlight! It’s the perfect spot for a panoramic view of the city. Not to mention that you’ll feel like you’ve been transported into those scenes from medieval movies. Good facilities. It’s a very cool and pleasant place, especially considering how hot it was on the day I visited. Be prepared for the hike, since the castle is located on a hill.
