The Pros - The guide Renan was super knowledgeable and engaging and took care of all the group. Umbrellas & Water provided which was nice because of the sun especially as walking tour . Pastais de Belem was amazing to learn about. The Neutral - Belem is closed for renovation ,even the outside was covered with covering and construction materials so couldn't really see it but not tour company's fault. the only negative - There is no such thing as "skip the line" ticket in the afternoons for the monestary so just bare that in mind for afternoon time tour. Our wait wasn't too long by any means but when you pay the price of skip-the-line ticket its something I think should be highlighted before purchase. You do the monestary last to reduce the chance of longer queue.

Leonoro could not have been better. She was at the meeting point ahead of schedule but not wearing a yellow shirt as advised in the meeting information - she said their company colours had changed but that Headout were not changing the instructions - confusing? Because she was so prompt we were the first group to enter the monastery and avoided some of the crowds. With her audio guide we were able hear and understand all the amazing facts about such an incredible building. She brought the history to life with a mixture of detail and humour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and so glad we had made the booking for the early tour.

João was a great guide for us and a small group on a very hot day. Glad we booked the early tour. Monastery was beautiful and his insight into the area was very valuable. Getting there early made the crowds minimal, and of course we walked right in at opening with the other groups. Keep in mind that on Sundays the chapel is closed for services until 2pm. So a bit of a let down but very understandable. The tour overall was a beautiful way to see Belem.
