Getting started

Present your ticket at the Teotihuacán archaeological site entrance and use your skip-the-line access to enter the complex. Arrive from 8:15 am, in time for the site opening. Your licensed guide, in either English or Spanish depending on the option you select, will meet you at the specified point in your booking confirmation.

What to expect

Teotihuacán

Two thousand years of history and urban planning come together at Teotihuacán, once the largest city in the pre-Columbian Americas and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Features

Walk the Calzada de los Muertos (Avenue of the Dead), the 2 km ceremonial spine of the ancient city, while your guide explains its layout, rituals, and the role it played in Teotihuacán society.

Explore the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, where carved feathered serpent heads and other stone reliefs show some of the most intricate surviving decoration in the site.

Visit the plazas and esplanades around the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, hearing how these pyramids fit into Teotihuacán’s cosmology and why later Aztecs saw this as the place “where gods were created.”
