Witness a brutal and bold take on Oliver Twist, as it takes you through the dark alleys of London!
Written by Charles Dickens, Oliver Twist was critically acclaimed for exposing the cruel treatment of orphans during the mid-19th century and also its unromantic portrayal of the lives of criminals. Award-winning dramatist Bryony Lavery has adapted this tale in conjunction with Leeds Playhouse to put disabled artists on center stage. Amy Leach, who has directed The Wonderful Wizard of OZ, The Shelter, and We All Fall Down is all set to direct the production which promises to dazzle audiences from across the world!
The story
Born into a poor family, Oliver Twist is left orphaned after his fatherβs mysterious disappearance and his motherβs death during childbirth. Oliver finds a home in a sweatshop, where he is mistreated. Soon, however, Oliver encounters Artful Dodger and Fagin and joins their troupe of pickpockets. He revels in this new exciting and adventurous life as a criminal. His happiness, however, is short-lived and he finds himself falling under the influence of the vile Bill Sykes. Will Oliver be able to turn around a life filled with misfortune and poverty?

CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5Seeing Oliver! in London with my wife was an unforgettable experience. The cast was absolutely incredible, but what truly amazed us was how everything came together so perfectly: the staging, the set design, the atmosphere, and the timeless music. I laughed, I cried, and I celebrated along with the characters on stage. I've now returned to Portugal and find myself recommending this show to everyone I know. If you ever have the chance to see Oliver!, do it at least once. It is far more than a musical; it's an experience that stays with you long after the final curtain falls. A memory I will treasure for years to come.CCoralene B
SoloVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5Being from Australia and seeing such a wonderful show. The main actor performance and female actor singing. The children dancing. The voices were amazing. Stage sets were exceptional. I just had a 13 yo child sitting near us that kept getting up, leaving and coming back, and banging their seat each time, without the parent doing anything and it interrupted you enjoying the matinee show. The usher should have said something.MMaria R

CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5The Performers were all excellent, especially little Oliver in my opinion. The Theatre has a great ambiance as old theatres do. We were up in the gods, so couldnt see everything when they were on the walkway, but we booked late as was a last minute visit to London. Would book lower and closer next time. We LOVED it !!! No Photos sorry as we wernt allowed to take any.AAlex H
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago4/5A magnificent performance. Fantastically sung, simply sublime. Hereβs a tip to make the experience perfect: the top two tiers are seats where the view of the stage is limited, making the experience less intense. Next time, Iβm going for seats on the first balcony π
