Heartbeat Of Home - Tickets

  • heartbeat of home-1
  • heartbeat of home-2

A critically acclaimed dance show that fervently explores the extent of modern Ireland’s diversity through beautifully choreographed sequences, Heartbeat of Home is amongst the most sought-after shows this season at the West End! Watch this masterpiece by John McColgan and Brian Bryne unfold in all its glory at London’s famous Piccadilly Theatre.

why watch heartbeat of home

Heartbeat of Home goes out of its way to put up an incredible dance performance with the underlying theme of cultural unity and love. Uniting over 35 top-notch dancers and live musicians from various countries including Italy, USA, Australia, Britain, Argentina, Spain, and Canada, director John McColgan presents a beautiful confluence of different cultures. In fact, Heartbeat of Home is produced by the same team that brought the wildly successful Riverdance to the world stage. The show retains the sheer energy and veracity of its predecessor and there are intriguing new additions to the Irish dance.

While Riverdance strived to bring about a cultural shift in the Irish psyche and present Irish art forms to the world, Heartbeat of Home explores the new multicultural Ireland that has now emerged in the 21st century. The lyrics are written by Joseph O’Connor and the music is composed by Ireland’s award-winning composer Brian Byrne - an artist who has worked with popular figures in the music industry including Katy Perry and Barbra Streisand. Following a sell-out run at the Palladium and owing to the fact that this show will run for a very short time in Piccadilly, it is best to book early to avoid missing this sublime performance this autumn.

The Story

At the Piccadilly theatre, what you will witness is an awe-inspiring fusion of African, Spanish, Argentine, Eastern European, and Irish dance styles. There is a certain undeniable genius about David Bolger’s choreography that rhythmically combines flamenco, tap dance, tango, hip hop, and salsa with traditional Irish dancing. Cutting-edge video projection technology makes this show a stunningly immersive experience. Backed by a 10-piece band playing Latin, hip-hop, and Afro-Cuban music, the dancers will present a 2-part story in slightly more than 1½ hours. Heartbeat of Home is a wonderful celebration of cultures from around the world, and all of it is tastefully put together by a stellar creative team.
