Witness a darkly hilarious play on family relationships that will leave you laughing and crying, returning to the London Theatre after two successful runs at West End.

  • The story plays out over the course of one night in a crowded Manhattan apartment as a family gathers to mourn the death of their beloved grandfather, a Holocaust survivor. The mourning soon turns into an all-out family feud as the younger generation battles over their grandfather's precious family heirloom with a religious significance. Who deserves it more - the overbearing and fanatically religious Daphne who proudly flaunts her Israeli boyfriend? The wealthy cousin Liam who has descended with his non-Jewish girlfriend? Or his brother Jonah who would much rather stay out of the squabble?

Written by the award-winning playwright Joshua Harmon (Significant Other, Admissions), the darkly comic tale explores the stormy waters of family, faith, and legacy. The play is directed by Jon Pashley (Welcome to Thebes, Romeo and Juliet) and is coming to the London Theatre for a limited 11-week run following two sold-out runs in West End. Book your tickets now to secure your tickets for this epic family feud.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Arts Theatre, lovely atmosphere and very comfortable seats. The play was very well constructed by the author Joshua Harmon & the subject matter contained much to think about. At times I was aware of a lack of clear diction. Was this some imperfection within the theatre space itself. Many Thanks for all your hard work sincerely Liz Tomlinson
