American author Hanya Yanagihara published her first book, A Little Life, in 2015. It became a best-selling novel despite being lengthy and addressing challenging subjects. Now, it is coming to the Harold Pinter Theatre in West End for the very first time, marking its English-language premiere on the 25th of March and will be performed till the 18th of June. Dealing with the themes of sexual abuse, child abuse and violence, A Little Life tells a grim tale. The theatrical sensation of 2023 features James Norton (Happy Valley, Grantchester) as Jude St. Francis under visionary director Ivo van Hove's guidance (Network, A View from the Bridge). The Story
The play tells the story of four friends while they live in New York City: Willem, an aspiring actor; Malcolm, a successful architect; JB, a struggling artist; and Jude, a brilliant lawyer.
