This Royal Castle is very interesting. Its rooms and chambers transport us back to the time when kings lived there. The gardens are beautiful and well-maintained. The panoramic view is fantastic. One of the highlights is the Chapel of Saint Hubert, where the remains of Leonardo da Vinci rest.

The tour with the tablets is very good. Much better than the audio guides... We can take all the time we want for the tour. Plus, the weather was nice, which is great for photos... On the other hand, I don't take photos with a cell phone...

Getting There

By Car:

It is about 2 hours and 15 minutes drive from the center of Paris to Amboise.

By Train:

It is a 2.5- to 3-hour journey to travel by train from Paris to the Royal Castle of Amboise. Please note that it is a 17-minute walk from the train station (Gare d’Amboise) to the castle.
