Not so much. The information whas often superficial, yet boring, as there was to much advertising and giving directions (which were still not very helpful and one had to use the map anyways) The map was helpful though and the information that were actually content also :)

The site is very well laid out with excellent descriptions of the key monuments and related history. The staff were all friendly and there's a nice cafe to wait in if you are early for your booked visit (as we were). It's also easy to get to by public transport.
    • Explore Knossos Palace, the largest Bronze Age site on Crete and the ceremonial hub of the Minoan civilization, an absolute feast for history enthusiasts.

    • With the pre-booked e-ticket, dive straight into your journey into the past, find a copy of “Prince of the Lilies” at the South Entrance Corridor and more.

    • The self-guided audio tour, available in 5 languages, lets you discover the beauty and trade secrets of Minoan times.

    • The cupbearers and procession frescoes at the South Propylaeum offer valuable insights into daily life and ceremonies in Minoan Crete.

    • Fun fact: The palace was so large that it could have housed up to 100,000 scrolls, making it potentially one of the largest libraries of the ancient world.

Staff were very helpful, friendly and supportive. Not being as physically able, I was very well looked after and I really do appreciate that. I brought my son and his friend here and we all absolutely loved it, honestly the whole experience was breathtaking. They are going to be doing ancient civilisation at college so this was brilliant for them to see. Thank you to everyone who made the whole experience possible and wonderful, only suggestion would be if they could turn the heat of the sun down a bit please 🤭🥵❤️

The pictures and their reconstruction were vivid and impressive. the concrete structures from Mr. Evans were a bit weird but illustrative. Therefor a special and unique place for more than one reason. If I had known earlier which app to download, I could have prepared it. So I paid more money for nothing.

It was great to get to the Palace early to beat the crowds. I enjoyed listening to the audio rather than being with a large guided tour.
