Great tour—the audio guide is excellent and very easy to use. The information provided is very interesting. We chose the 10 a.m. time slot, and I highly recommend it—we were able to explore at a leisurely pace. By the end of our tour, there was a huge crowd waiting in line at the entrance, and it was hot.

Everything worked perfectly. Buying tickets in advance with Headout saved us a lot of time waiting in line. The tickets arrived on time and the audio guide was very helpful for a complete visit (because without the audio guide it's difficult to find your way around). The after-sales service is also very good because, when I needed to contact them to resolve a question, they promptly responded and solved my problem. And the Palace of Knossos is a must-see; a thrilling dive into history.

Die Wegbeschreibung war gut, aber es war ohne Handy in der Hand und visuell verfolgen ob das aktuelle Kapitel noch zum selben Raum/Ort gehört etwas schwierig zu orientieren. Der Abstieg zum Südpalast ist im Audio-Guide gar nicht erwähnt. Da bin ich glücklicher Weise gleich am Anfang der Führung hinunter gegangen um diesen Teil nicht zu verpassen. Ein Hinweis dazu hat gefehlt. Ich habe beim Pausieren des Guides immer wieder den Guide neu starten müssen, um wieder an der pausierten Stelle weiter zu machen.

I had no trouble getting into the site. It wasn't clear which route to take; one room wasn't accessible according to the audio guide, and at one point the audio guide was speaking in German.

Audio-guided tour. Nice, but very confusing; the directions provided for reaching the various parts of the palace (at the beginning or end of each track) were very vague. It wasn’t clear where to go or which route to follow to find them easily. Another thing: the audio guide should be updated more often because we wasted at least half an hour looking for the Queen’s Hall, but then, after asking a guide on site, we found out that it’s under renovation (or undergoing construction) and wasn’t open to the public. Another thing: they should ask for the ages of participants, since we found out that people under 25 don’t have to pay for a ticket. On the plus side: with the audio guide, you have more freedom of movement and don’t have to follow the crowd with other people.

It was very hard to follow the tour as there is no map at Knossos or in the guide to see where the stations are. The directions of the guide are quite hard to follow. I found the text of the guide to be of poor quality at places - it seems to be put together by AI and read out by AI as well. It should do with a thorough proofreading, that would definitely better the quality. Overall it was ok, a more affordable option to a guided tour.

The points of interest mentioned in the audio guide aren't very clear along the route. So sometimes it's hard to match them up. I would have liked more information about what I was seeing through the audio guide, as well as an introductory explanation of the historical period.
