At Kennedy Space Center, enjoy access to restricted areas, meet an astronaut (subject to availability) and walk under the massive Saturn V rocket. In case the meet-and-greet with the astronaut is unavailable, it will be substituted with a walk-through of the Space Shuttle Atlantis facility. One highlight of your day will be the Shuttle Launch Experience - a simulator that lets you feel what an astronaut does during take-off. Watch IMAX showings and visit a surreal rocket garden with rocket 'flowers.'
At Space Shuttle Atlantis, come eye-to-eye with the amazing Atlantis spacecraft in a way that only astronauts have seen before - with payload bay doors open as if it were floating in space. Also, experience over 60 different touch-screen experiences and high-tech simulators. These give you the chance to channel your inner astronaut and see the patriotism behind NASA's 30-year Space Shuttle Program. Some of the fun things you can try include practicing docking into the International Space Station, starting a virtual chemical reaction to launch the shuttle, and taking the helm at the shuttle cockpit. This is truly an out-of-the-world experience!

Visitors may bring backpacks and soft-sided coolers into the visitor complex. Food and beverages packed in small, soft-sided coolers are permitted. Glass bottles or containers are not permitted. Beer is for sale at select locations and no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.
