Absolutely fantastic. The tour guide (Stephen) picked us up at the parking lot at the agreed-upon time. A bus had been arranged to take us to the Marienbrücke. Stephen was the best tour guide I’ve ever met. He had truly in-depth historical knowledge and was very entertaining. He explained the itinerary perfectly. The tour of the castle was also very good. We took a horse-drawn carriage ride back down into the valley. Best day ever. Customer service was also great when I had questions about the tickets. Highly recommended.

The whole day was perfect, from locating the bus exactly where we were informed it would be, to our knowledgeable guide, who fed us snippets of information about Ludwig II during our journey, to the well-arranged visit and tour of the stunning Linderhof Palace, then lunch by the beautiful lake in Nueschwanstein, before the guided tour of the amazing Neuschwanstein Palace. It was then back to Munich, with return time as expected. Thank you for a magical, memorable day!

We liked the organized nature of the tour, less "thinking" involved. If not on a tour, I honestly don't think we'd have enjoyed it as much, e.g. getting up to the bridge in the shuttle bus, handling the mosh-pit of a queue/line getting to the bridge, and managing time (to get through the (struct) ticketed entrance), etc.

No problems at the entrance. Punctuality is necessary because you enter in groups and entry times change every 5 minutes. For example, my entry time was at 9:00, and they wouldn't have let me enter with the 9:05 group; the turnstile locks.

A wonderful tour from start to finish! The guide was personable and accommodating. The driver was also very funny. We learned not only about the castles but also Munich, so that was a nice bonus. Both castles were very beautiful and the live tour for the first castle was especially entertaining and interesting. For the second castle, it was only an audioguide, but it was good quality. We didn't get a photo from the bridge because the queue was incredibly long, but it didn't matter - we still got some lovely photos and experienced the castle up close. I would definitely do another tour with this company!

My visit to Neuschwanstein Castle was a wonderful experience! Before I arrived at the castle, I hadn’t realized that I would learn so much about Bavarian history and the literature of Germanic mythology and legends. These are topics that I’m very interested in as a student of German language and literature and medieval studies. Unfortunately, taking photos inside the castle is not permitted. Therefore, I cannot include any visual images in my review. Nevertheless, the famous image of Neuschwanstein Castle serves as the perfect invitation to discover its history and experience a legendary and magnificent past!

Accessibility

Neuschwanstein Castle offers an elevator for wheelchair access. To ensure availability, we recommend you reserve it in advance.

The hiking trail to the castle is paved and partly very steep. It's best to use the horse carriage transport where any regular-sized, foldable wheelchair can be stowed in the trunk of the carriage. Please note that the carriages do not have a ramp.
