The Bigbus staff ask for the ticket to be printed. They are very rude and crude. The bus doesn't run every 15 minutes as they say, it takes more than 30 minutes. We even waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes to go uptown to central park. I recommend taking the subway to the main places if your trip is very short, as was the case for me (1 day).
