The tour was fine, but the channel assignments for the different languages were completely wrong. Dutch was well above channel 10, not on channel 2 as indicated on the schedule in the bus. The driver navigated the city very skillfully.

The driver was very helpful with assistance and information. Audio worked well. Good start for visiting Salzburg. Enjoyed it.

The trip out to Hellbrunn Palace was really great; unfortunately, it rained the whole time on June 10, and there are a lot of construction sites around right now.

I've done several of this kind of bus tour as a way of learning about a city and getting my bearings. This tour was disappointing compared to those others, right from the start because the bus driver didn't interact at all with his customers - no welcome or explanation of how to listen the audio guide. There was no sense of his being anything other than a driver. Then once I'd worked out how to use the audio guide, the information shared on it felt minimal. I can't say I learnt much about Salzburg and its history from it (found out more on Wikipedia) - and I did get a bit sick of the same clip of Mozart music over and over again! It was nonetheless a pleasant way of getting round Salzburg.

You can explore much more on foot and visit all the sights. It's a closed bus, so photos through the windows aren't very good. For €15, I'd say it's okay, but it's really not worth €30. I've been to many countries and cities with hop-on hop-off buses, so I know what I'm talking about.
