Great educational tour with a great guide. The places visited were interesting and brought back great memories. The bus was very comfortable and the little singing tour was fun. We had a young opera singer on board. Oh la la! A marvel to hear.
In conclusion, The Sound of Music tour is a must on any visit to Salzburg. I highly recommend it, or you'll regret it 😉

Booking the tickets via Headout was easy and not too expensive compared to other re-sellers of the same tour.
The ONLY things that irked me was the fact that if somone wanted a soft drink or water there was an on the bus charge. I would have preferred that the tour ticket to be a couple of Euros more and a drink offered for free! Also, it is tantamont to begging to mention that there is a basket for tips at the end of the tour. Although good value, the tour isn't particularly cheap and to then ask for tips is not appreciated. It should be up to individual people if they wanted to show additional appreciation.
Having said all that, the tour and tour guide were excellent and we had an enjoyable experience.

Had a great afternoon getting a close look at the salt mine! The view while driving up the mountain to the salt mine is spectacular! All parts of this trip were so thrilling - the salt mine and the underground boat ride in the darkness. We learned a lot about the geography and history of the place and how salt is made. Overall, it was a great experience and I recommend this tour if you’re visiting Salzburg.

Ticketing was easy! It seemed like the buildings to view were rather far away and couldn't see well or get a decent photo.

Everything was explained very well and clearly, you could get on and off at any time. The trick fountains and the pleasure garden of Helbrunn Palace are very good and worth seeing. And combined with the SalzburgCard, you save a lot of entrance fees. For example, we used Helbrunn Castle, Untersbergbahn and Helbrunn Zoo.
