WE ❤️ (Till 25th August 2024)

The exhibition showcases a curated selection of top artworks from the Heidi Horten Collection, organized into 3 thematic categories representing the collection's core content areas: Expressionism, particularly its German variant; 1960s and 1970s art with a specific focus on U.S., Italian, and German positions; and the interplay of figuration and abstraction in painting and sculpture. A distinctive feature of the exhibition is the active involvement of museum visitors in shaping its narrative through #ARTfluence. Whether on-site or through social media, visitors can select approximately 20 artworks from the collection, which will find a permanent home in a dedicated section of the museum! Keep an eye out for a masterpiece by Gustav Klimt titled Church in Unterach on Lake Attersee, crafted between 1915 and 1916. This iconic artwork takes centre stage in one of the 'Kabinett' rooms, sharing space with graphic works by artists from the same period.
